The above flyer is from an event I helped coordinate along side the 6th grade Social Studies teachers. We worked together to turn some of the major events of the Ancient Greek Olympics into feasible events we could use at school. During Physical Education classes I taught my students how to perform these specific events and we practiced each event. On the day of the Olympics, we had every sixth grade student competing in multiple events in front of teachers, parents, administrators, members of the community, and members of the media. This event showcased a simple way to include cross curricular activities in a Physical Education setting.
